Hi, my name is Courtney.
I am the owner & therapist at Mindful Frontier Counseling.
I am a passionate mental health advocate for over 20 years, leading me on an exploration of healing mind, body & soul. I recently became a certified yoga instructor and I am passionate about teaching trauma-informed yoga both in therapy individually and in group classes. I believe yoga incorporates the beauty of mindfulness through breath and movement, while allowing us to release stored stress in our bodies, and for some, connecting to your soul. Don't worry, if your not into yoga, I'm cool with that too.
What I have come to find in my studies of the mind, body & soul is the center to healing lies in your unique attunement of: genuine human connection with others and yourself, trust, mindfulness, empathy, nurturing your body through balanced nutrition and movement. My mission is to listen with empathy, guide you through self exploration, get to know you for you, and give you the tools you need to better cope with the pains of life.
My credentials include: Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Nevada, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) certified, and registered yoga teacher-200 hour (RYT-200).
Reach out to me, I will be grateful to help you on your mental health journey.
From my light to yours,
Courtney Nyland, LCSW, EMDR-C, RYT-200
